The transom is the part people get wrong. A boat is not just a hull shape, she is a name and a home port set in a particular way, and gear that spells either one differently reads as a knock-off of the real thing. So the lettering is something you set and approve yourself, not something we guess at from the photo.
What the hailing port actually is
It is the port shown beneath the boat name on the transom, the town she answers to rather than wherever she happens to be tied up this week. On documented vessels it is a legal marking. On everything else it is the line that tells other boaters where you run from, which is why it belongs on the gear as much as the name does.
You type it, you approve it
Type the name and the port and watch the lettering set into the artwork. Change the wording, the case and the ink colour as many times as you like. Nothing goes to print until you say it reads correctly, and revisions cost nothing.
It carries across everything
The same approved lettering goes on the tee, the cap, the towel and the coozie, so a set bought over three seasons still matches. The high-resolution file stays on file, which means the next order does not start over.
Long names and small spaces
Some names do not fit an embroidered cap front at a readable stitch density, and a hailing port under them can make it worse. Where that happens we will tell you before it prints and suggest the placement that keeps it legible, rather than shrinking it until it turns into a smudge.
